History in Hair

We like to think of Wheelhouse as a place where Southern charm and good hair meet rock-n-roll and vintage flare. The 70’s were especially great years for hair and music and we’re always pulling inspiration from the looks that dominated that decade.

In Jade’s case we channeled Mick Jagger for an undone, androgynous look reminiscent of the era. Long locks with heavy fringe is a Wheelhouse favorite that’s making a comeback. Paired with vintage jewelry and a statement jacket, Jade’s style is a modern take on 70’s rock-n-roll.

This disheveled, Woodstock vibe is a great showcase of a style’s development over the decades. Androgyny was hugely influential in music and movies of the 70’s and we had a lot of fun bringing back that culture with Jade’s look. If there’s one thing we’re certain of, it’s that styles come back around and we take pride in keeping up with cultural trends in order to provide our clients with a well-rounded hair history.
