The product perfect for folks who need lots of style in little time.
Oribe did it again, y’all. The Hair Alchemy line has a new addition and we are here with the 411 on everything styling balm.
First off, let’s see what Oribe has to say about it:
This lightweight balm, formulated for fine-to-medium strands, defines heatless styles and air-dried waves alike. Our Curative Blend strengthens fragile hair while fermented yerba mate extract adds a healthy, glossy shine. Hair is left fortified, frizz-free, and touchably soft.
- Creates lasting styles without the need for heat
- Leaves hair defined and polished with touchably-soft hold
- Imparts a healthy shine while smoothing frizz and flyaways
- Strengthens fragile, weak hair to prevent and reduce breakage
We were lucky enough to try this one right when it released. Here are some thoughts from the Wheelhouse staff.

Courtney loves this one. As someone with very porous, coarse, straight hair who has been bleaching it for ages, she said this is actually the perfect styling product for her. Her hair soaks it right up and makes it soft and manageable with just the right amount of texture. She applies into damp hair straight from the shower, and has been using it as her styling product of choice every time it’s wash day.
*Courtney recommends this product specifically for her clients that have medium to thick hair strands
Amy is also a fan. She has a lot of short, fine hair with a wavy texture, and said this makes her hair ridiculously soft and helps keep her frizz down.
*If your hair is also fine, she suggests starting with a small amount and working your way up. You CAN use too much if you’re a fine haired person like she is, so keep it little at first.
Joanna actually had this in her hair when she was asked about it! She has medium hair with some wave, and said it helps her form the waves and texture in her hair without any crispiness or crunchiness. She also said it feels like a leave-in conditioner, and adds a bit of shine.

Here’s how to use it.
Apply to damp hair and set with preferred heatless styling method. Can also be air-dried to define waves and natural texture.
